We offer customers a prompt payment policy. We provide payment by BACS transfer or cheque – please note that cheque payments are only available for transactions that are above £10.00. All BACS transfer payments will be processed promptly, with no additional fees and you will receive your money in your account within 24 hours at the latest unless your transaction has taken place on Saturday, in which case payment will be made the following Monday.
We need photo identification and proof of address to make your payment. For ID we can accept a current photo card driving licence or passport, along with a utility bill as proof of address. This is a government requirement.
Operating within the law
From 3 December 2012, changes to the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 1964 made it illegal to buy scrap metal for cash in England and Wales, and that remains in force under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013.
